Annual, divaricately branched herb with decumbent or ascending branches up to 45 cm, with long, capitate, glandular hairs covering the whole plant except the base of the stem and leaf laminae. Leaves oblong-elliptic, obtuse, subsessile. Flowers in loose, corymbose panicles. Pedicels 2-3 mm, at least some deflexed in fruit. Calyx 11-12 mm with short, obtuse teeth, narrow oblong-cylindrical. Petals rose, up to 20 mm., with a suborbicular blade with two coronal scales, abruptly narrowed into the linear claw. Capsule ovate, shorter than the calyx. Fl. 4-6. Rocky slopes and waste places.
