Annual. Lateral stems and branches not rooting below, ± ascending to erect. Leaves somewhat fleshy, glabrous or rarely ciliate, acute but not or scarcely mucronate. Flowers solitary, 4-merous. Sepals ovate, obtuse, not mucronate. Petals white, very small or absent. Capsule shorter than to as along as the erect but not adpressed, persistent sepals. Fl. 5. Maritime.
