Annual or biennial. Stems erect, up to 70 cm. Lower leaves oblong to oblong-spathulate, dentate to subentire. Cauline leaves adpressed to the stem, oblanceolate, dentate, all with an indumentum of 3-5-fid hairs. Sepals 5-7 mm. Petals yellow, 9-13 mm. Siliquae laterally compressed, adpressed to the flowering axis, grey with green angles, the valves keeled or winged. Hairs 3-5-fid. Style 3-8 mm. Fl. 6-8. Steppe, fallow fields, etc., up to 2300 m.
