Annual 5-50 cm, branched from the base, stems often angled, flowering stems ascending. Basal leaves ± rosette-forming, petiolate, lyrate-pinnatipartite; upper leaves few, entire, subpetiolate. Racemes bracteate at base. Petals yellow with violet veins, 10-13 x 4 mm. Fruiting pedicels 3-5 x 1-1,5 mm. Fruits recurved, densely covered with short, adpressed, hispid hairs; lower member 2-3 mm, 1-seeded; upper, 8-11 cm x 2-3 mm, 3-15-seeded. Fl. 5. Semi-segetal species, mostly nr. s.l
