Annual 5-20 cm, usually simple-stemmed, sometimes branched from base. Leaves all oblong-ovate, ± thick. Sepals greenish-brown; inner oblong, clearly saccate, outer much narrower, not saccate, linear. Petals 22 x 8 mm with a very long narrow filiform claw. Anthers of short stamens 3-4 mm; anthers of outer stamens 1 mm. Stigma large, bitobed with inconspicuous decurrent carpidial lobes. Fruiting pedicels 3-5 mm, erect-spreading. Siliqua erect, 8-11 cm x 2 mm, including a beak, 1-1,5 cm, slightly compressed; valves 3-nerved. Seeds granulose, reddish-brown. Cotyledons obliquely incumbent. Fl. 3-5. Rocky limestone slopes, 300-1000 m.
