Leaves 8-20 x 1.8-3.8 mm, ± involute, obtuse, increasing in size upwards. Inflorescence lax, multibranched, somewhat circinate, 10-20 cm. Pedicels spreading to ascending, 5-8 mm. Sepals ± persistent. Petals 4-6 x 2-3 mm, spathulate, deeply bilobed, the sinus 2-3.5 mm deep. Fruits elliptic to obovate, obtuse, 5-7 x 3-4.5 mm, with very dense simple or furcate setae. Styles slender, 2-2.5 mm. Seeds wingless. Fl. 5-7. Neglected fields, steppe and scrub, 1300-1850 m.
