Similar to but generally more slender than T. parthenium. Leaves more finely dissected, with more regular lobes. Inflorescence of fewer capitula on arching peduncles forming loose corymbs. Involucre smaller, 4-5 mm broad. Ligules shorter, 3-6 mm long. Fl. 5-8. Dry stony or sandy slopes, 1100-2225 m.
