Perennial, bulbous plant. Bulbs 1-3 cm diam, subglobose to ovoid; outer tunic membranaceous, thin textured, light brown to pinkish; inner white; without hyaline cataphyll. Leaves 3-10, 1-2 mm wide, linear, canaliculate. Scapose 1-2, 10-22 cm long, erect, fragile and thin; scabrous at base, glabrous at upper part. Inflorescence a simple raceme, to 5 cm long, 10-30 flowered, cylindrical. Pedicels erecto-patent to patent, to 5 mm long in flowering time, erecto-patent and to 9 cm long in fruiting time. Bracts absent. Flowers broadly infundibular to stellate; segments linear to lanceolate, 4-6×1-1.3 mm, bright pinkish, outside white at base; midrib darker. Stamen 6; filaments 3-4 mm long, pinkish; anthers dark purple, pollen grain dark purple. Ovary globose to elliptical, light pinkish; style erect, whitish at base, pinkish at upper part, 1.5-2 mm long, white; stigma small, capitate. Capsule oblong to slightly pyriform. Seeds 3×1.5 mm, oblong to slightly pyriform, exarillate; testa pale yellow, alveolate, glabrous.
Flowering time: September to October.
