Plant 2–8 cm. Bulb ovoid-subglobose, 10–25 × 7–20 mm, without bulblets. Scape absent or up to 5 cm, glaucous, raceme borne ± at ground level. Leaves 10–15 , much longer than scape, linear-filiform, glabrous, 3–20 × 0.1–0.2 cm, channelled or flat, with white median line, margine entire. Raceme elongate–corymbose, 8–15 flowered. Pedicels 3–13 mm in flower, ascending at anthesis, 5–20 mm in fruit, becoming sharply deflexed, thickened at their bases, turning upwards at their apices. Bracts 5–27 mm, subulate, equal or longer than pedicel. Flowers scentless. Perianth segments 6–11 × 1–2 mm in flower, 11–18 × 2–3 mm in fruit, lanceolate, milky-white inside, white with a green fascia outside. Anthers 1–2 mm, filament 5–8 mm, lanceolate, neither winged nor toothed. Ovary 2–4 × 1.5–2 mm, ovoid-elliptic, green. Style 2.5–5 mm, white, equal or longer than ovary. Capsule 3–6 × 3.5–5 mm, ovoid-subglobose, ±erect, narrowly winged. Seed numerous, black, 1–2 × 0.75–1.5 mm, subglobose, reticulate with undulate walls.
