Distinguished from A. hirta by its apparently mauvish-brown to blackish-green perianth, broadly bi-auriculate-based perianth limb , and shorter hairs on inside of limb. Fl. 5-6. Shady places in deciduous forest, stony banks of orchards and fallow fields, 60-1200 m.
