Stem erect, 1-2 m, ridged, with stalked stellate hairs. Basal leaves 3-4-ternate; ultimate segments elliptic to broadly ovate, 5-6 x 3-6 cm, crenate to crenate-serrate. Umbels 10-14-rayed; rays 2-4 cm. Bracts and bracteoles 0-5, small, leafy. Young fruit 4,5 mm; ridges obscure; valleculae 2-vittate. Fl. 5-7. Limestone or igneous rocks, rocky slopes or ravines, 900-2100 m.
