Erect biennial or perennial; stems 20-60 cm, grooved, glandular-hispid, often ± lanate towards the base. Basal leaves 1-pinnate, narrowly oblong in outline, 5-25 cm with petiole, hispidulous, leaflets orbicular to oblong, 1.5-4 cm, deeply lobed, lobes dentate. Umbels 5-10-rayed; bracts 2-4, linear; bracteoles 3-5, linear. Petals yellow, glabrous. Fruit 4-6 x c. 4 mm, ± orbicular to broadly obovate, glabrous to sparsely pubescent; margin 0.2-0.4 mm; commissural vittae 2-6. Fl. 7. Alpine meadows, 1620-2000 m.
