Stems 10-40 cm with a small central hollow, or solid. Basal leaves 1-pinnate, ovate-oblong, 2,5-10 x 1,5-3 cm, segments cuneate, incised to deeply pinnatisect. Upper leaves 2-pinnate or pinnatisect, segments lanceolate to linear. Umbels lateral. Rays straight, 1-3, ± equal, 1-3 cm, sometimes scabrid on margin. Bracts 0-1, linear, setaceous, 3-5 mm. Bracteoles 0-2, minute. Pedicels 2-4, 3-5 mm long. Flowers hermaphrodite. Petals entire, 0,75 mm. Anthers dark violet. Fruit rugose, base cordate, apex ± conical, 2-3 x 4-7 mm. Fl. 3-5. Oak scrub, fieldsides, up to 800 m.
